A Harden Plant - Specialist Excavations

Company Statment on Aldi Pembroke Dock

Company statement regarding flooding at new Aldi store site in Pembroke Dock.

In answer to speculation as to what took place on site at the new Aldi store in Pembroke Dock, we wish to clarify our position on the incident.

We were aware of the issue around late morning on site whereby an outside contractor 'Japanese Knotweed' who had an excavator on hire from Parker Plant (with operator) were conducting work at an area of the site away from both our machinery and staff.

We are aware of various speculation that our excavators/operators were at fault for bursting a mains water pipe which has lead to flooding around site but we can 100% confirm this incident was not the fault of our staff or plant machinery or that of the main contractor of the site - Jenco Intl Ltd

The contractor of both the excavator involved and the knotweed removal company has nothing to do with A Harden & Sons.

As soon as we became aware of the water and flooding, we've been working tirelessly with the on site fire service commander and firefighters to assist in pumping away flood water.
